Interactive Sculpture I’ve got peace like a river in my soul

I’ve got a river in my soul

I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul

I’ve got a fountain in my soul
This is an interactive conceptual (because I didn't make it, I happened upon it) sculpture.

This was thrown out behind my building. The viewer is free to rumage through it. You soon see that these are the jewery boxes of an old African American lower middle-class woman . It has old powder puffs, old matches, remeberances, photos, so much inexpensive jewerly and all those things a female collects along the way.

It is very errie to look through these things. It is a type of our earthly treasure and there is an awareness of ones own mortlity . All of the things that were ours, the personal things of our life, will most surely be thrown in the trash one day, one day much too soon! Rich or poor, we really leave very little behind. Somebody takes the good stuff and the rest is tossed!

In death, our world system; illness, poverty, racism, sexism all dissapear in a puff!
